Dr Alex Manara MRCP, FRCA
Consultant Anaesthetist
Dr Alexander Manara has been a Consultant in Anaesthesia
and Intensive Care Medicine at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol
since 1990. He qualified from the Welsh National School of
Medicine in Cardiff in 1981 and trained in anaesthesia, intensive
care and internal medicine in Cardiff, London, Cambridge and
Bristol.
He was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians
(MRCP) in 1985 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists
in 1986. His main areas of expertise are in care of the critically
ill and anaesthesia for plastic and cosmetic surgery, neurosurgery
and orthopaedic surgery.
He is also actively involved in audit and research, and in
teaching and training doctors in anaesthesia and intensive
care medicine.
