Dr Sherina Balaratnam

During consultations, Dr Balaratnam’s emphasis lies in listening to her patients’ needs, and guiding them towards the most suitable facial and body rejuvenation treatments. Her goal is to ensure she meets each patient’s expectations by delivering her treatments safely and effectively. With her surgical background, Dr Balaratnam has the unique ability to combine her understanding of science, medicine and anatomy together with an artistic flair to bring together the best in her rejuvenation treatments. She is well known for her attention to detail, and gentle bedside manner with her patients.

Plastic Surgery Training/Experience: Her desire to pursue a career in plastic surgery has led to over 5 years of experience working alongside some of the best plastic and reconstructive surgeons in the country. Dr Balaratnam has worked in busy plastic surgery units within the NHS, gaining experience in breast reconstructive surgery, trauma reconstruction, burn surgery, skin oncology and facial aesthetics with the latter two being her areas of specialist interest, and she strongly believes in the importance of maintaining safe and high standards of care to her patients.

Postgraduate Qualifications: Dr Balaratnam successfully obtained a Masters degree at the prestigious University College of London in the field of Surgical Science and Cancer Biology, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences. Her deep understanding of the mechanisms of cancer development has led to an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.
