FILLERS (RESTYLANE/PERLANE/HYDRA FILL)

HYDRA FILL/RESTYLANE/PERLANE/VITAL/SUB-Q/LIPP

Hydra Fill and Restylane are colourless liquids which are partly composed of ground substance which is naturally found within the body (Perlane, Vital, Sub-Q and Lipp are all types of Restylane designed for different areas of the face). It fills out the lines under the skin and it will be removed naturally by the body’s own processes. Because it is colourless, it tends not to leave a mark under the skin.

Because the constituent is a naturally occurring chemical, there is no need for allergy testing prior to using Hydra Fill or Restylane. Allergic reaction is very rare.

During the injection, the area to be treated is slightly over-corrected to allow for initial shrinkage. A small pinprick wound where the Hydra Fill or Restylane is injected will be barely noticeable within a few hours of the procedure.

As with any injection or operation, there is a very small risk of infection associated with the area. This is minimised by cleaning the area with antiseptic swabs before the injection is performed. It is also helpful if you wear no make-up or foundation on the day when you have the injection performed. There is a small theoretical risk of infection within the skin which can lead to scarring of the skin.
