Consultant Plastic Surgeon

I have been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 1979. I am a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).

I obtained my medical degree in 1963 (MB BS) and until my retirement from the NHS in 2005, was Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the North Bristol NHS Trust, Frenchay Hospital.

I was previously Clinical Director of Surgery and Specialist Director of Plastic Surgery for the North Bristol NHS Trust.

Nationally, I have been the Regional Specialty Representative of Plastic Surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons, I was a Council Member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and have been on the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Plastic Surgery.

I have written numerous papers on Reconstruction Techniques and Skin Cancer.

I developed an interest and experience in Skin Cancer, including founding and running the pigmented lesion clinic at Frenchay Hospital since 1992. I am a member of the Melanoma Study Group and am presently Chairman of SCARF (Skin Cancer Research Fund).

COSMETIC SURGERY

Aesthetic Procedures carried out include breast augmentation and reduction, rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, prominent ear correction, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.
