Liposuction

Liposuction to remove fat deposits

This procedure is not a treatment for obesity, and should not be seen as a substitute for following a healthy lifestyle.

Liposuction and liposculpture (fat removal) can help to remove fat deposits which have proven difficult to remove with exercise and a healthy diet. The areas typically operated on include the tummy (abdomen), the outer part of the thighs, the hips, and the insides of the knees.

Sometimes the procedure is combined with a tummy tuck, which removes excess skin from the abdominal area and also repairs damaged abdominal muscles.

This procedure is not a treatment for obesity, and should not be seen as a substitute for following a healthy lifestyle.
